Mathew Ehrlich

Mathew is the director of the SA Podiatry Clinic. He graduated, Bachelor of Podiatry, in 2002 from the University of South Australia and was awarded the JR Pickering prize for Podiatric Biomechanics.

Since graduating he has worked in both the public sector and in private practice. For the last nine years he has developed expertise in podiatric sports medicine and has worked extensively with leading South Australian orthopaedic surgeons, sports physicians, and physiotherapists. He has been trusted with the successful rehabilitation of both professional athletes right down to weekend warriors. He is also actively involved in Sports Medicine Australia, the Australian Podiatry Association, district cricket and the amateur football league.

Mathew’s areas of specialty include biomechanics of the lower limb and foot. This enables accurate diagnosis and treatment of lower limb and foot injuries. His scope of practice ranges from children requiring appropriate assessment, advice and in some cases treatment through to the elderly wishing to remain fit and active. He has advanced experience in manual therapy techniques including foot and ankle mobilisation. Western acupuncture and dry needling also form part of his practice. Working closely with leading Orthopaedic surgeons, his understanding of various surgical techniques will contribute to a successful post operative foot and ankle rehabilitation.

His personal interests outside of work include spending time with his two young daughters, family and friends, fishing, organic gardening and food production.
